Am I correct that this is a Brown Shrike showing the "pale eye stripe" mentioned in some descriptions? I can't find a matching photo.

I was thinking the brown eye mask was paler than the usual black. But on reflection, "pale" would not be an expected word choice for that.

Regardless of the verbal description, I would like to know what this is and why it's eye stripe is brown. Immature plumage???
