WOOHHOOOO!! awesome time spent with it .. these where all in same blooomin spot </p><p><em>not technically a lifer</em> but first brilliant sessions with them - RUFOUS WHISTLER'S by the bucket load! many good eyeballings, which is not just their incredible songs/calls, we had 4 around us for some time - which we heard where-ever we went in area also! dozens and dozens</p><p>next lifer HORSEFIELD'S BRONZE-CUCKOO, wow nice</p><p></p><p>squillions of Yellow-rumped thornbills </p><p></p><p>many other nice birds Black-faced Cuckoo-shrike, first time ever heard them make a call! all the usual suspects were there of course, maggies, adelaides and what have you, Common Bronzewing .. first proper ID of Little wattle bird too! its not that hard is it i spose, no white cheek patch and they look different anyways, heard an eastern spinebill</p><p></p><p>another cool highlight of day was seeing large family of red-rumped parrots on power lines just outside lyndoch on road, never seen that before</p><p></p><p>woot - its funny i remember the plce now, coz of the hireable Youth Hostel house, and clear paddock out the front - (where there wher lots of RBE's flying about at end of day, they were using a dead tree (like they always do) at other end near a house as bug eating base) friends used to hire it (its cheap) and have jams all weekend there lol</p><p></p><p>i'm starting to really like the barossa <img src="data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7" class="smilie smilie--sprite smilie--sprite1" alt=":)" title="Smile :)" loading="lazy" data-shortname=":)" />)))</p></blockquote><p></p>
