Bit stumped....flock of birds on the beach in the very quiet part (outside of Great Yarmouth),overlooking the Scrotby Sands wind-farm.(This week).
The birds when disturbed all flew together either to another patch of beach or flew together over the sea, just a few yards out and then back to the beach. They ran quickly for a short distance and stopped when not flying.
No binocs but appeared to be larger than a blackbird/starling,dark colour on top (brown/black),white underneath with a white neck-band.When startled appeared to be possibly two white flashes on the tail. The beak was not small and stubby, blackbird length possibly.
I have looked at my books etc., and a bit confused,a land bird ?
