Hi all,
Been looking through my photos of band-tailed seedeaters from Peru and this one looks a bit different? Smaller bill and much plainer breast; is it still just a band-tailed seedeater though?

Looks like male band-tailed sierra-finch. Note pointed cf stubby bill (perhaps that's what you mean by "smaller"?). This too has a pale breast but it's not always obvious, and it would be difficult to see in this photo anyway as it's against the light. This species is quite common so you may have other pics of it: check bill shape first off
