Interesting pattern on shell too. He's got a friend, too. They've been hanging out in the woods by my house for several years now, but all the rain has brought them out in the open. I cringe every time they slowly cross the street, but I guess they have their own agenda. Hopefully I'll see the young one day.:t:

Unfortunately no, most don't have the same coloring. He was definitely 'in the mood' actually moving around my shoe back to the other turtle. I'm amazed at the small territory they cover...basically the size of a football field for most of their lives. Everything they eat is in that area. Pretty amazing.
