Can someone please identify the duck in pics 1 + 2? And can someone please confirm that pic 3 is a 1st winter Red-necked Grebe? Taken in Port Credit Ontario in November.
Thanks
Chris

The bird in pic 3 is a Red-necked Grebe. The bird in the first two photos is one of the scaups.

Thanks Raymie. A scaup is a first for me. Is there any way to tell a Greater from the Lesser from these pics?

A first winter male greater scaup for me with the caveat I've been wrong about Aythya sp. on here before :)
