However, does it appear more 'full-bodied' than you would normally expect to see on a male Kestrel? (Plumped up or full belly?). The tail would also be slightly shortened by the angle.Was it just soaring or in active flight? - a heavier bird could of course fly differently which could have misled you at the time...</blockquote>
