Hello to all of you!
Autumn equinox. A good day for posting my tenth, and final part of my bird story: A Tale about Storks, part 10 (you will find it in the Blogs section).
It was quite a journey, following fourteen stork nests in my area in The Netherlands from last April, to only a few weeks ago, but I thoroughly enjoyed it - well, bar the drenching rains at times, of course. All the young storks have left now, off to winter, and grow into adulthood in more southern climes.
Two reasons, you might recall from my introduction to this tale, I had for writing this story. One was to deal with my personal grief over the loss of my bird-loving brother in a different, and hopefully, emotionally more beneficial, manner. I feel that has been quite successful, definitely worthy of repetition, so I will continue my walks and bird explorations. The other reason was to comply with the Bird Forum’s rule of submitting at least ten posts, before I could post something in the For Sale section. I have now complied with that rule, and have therefore posted my book sale advert again.
My beloved brother, you might remember, left me a legacy of over 1000+ bird and natural history books. He would appreciate his books finding new owners who love birds as much as he did. So would I. If you are interested, please go to: ‘Opportunity for bird watchers, book lovers and collectors’ in the For Sale - Birding Optics & Nature related Items forum: https://www.birdforum.net/forums/for-sale-birding-optics-nature-related-items.723/
There, you will find some specifics about the book collection, and my email address. You are more than welcome to contact me if you would like to receive - free and without obligation - the detailed inventories of all the books for sale.
Many thanks, and happy birdwatching to all of you! Erna Horn
