I've bought things from OP on 3 occasions. In one case I bought a bad product from Celestron and after OP replaced it a few times I used the $40 to buy a small spotting scope. I hope OP got all the shipping money back from Celestron because OP sent me prepaid returned mail/UPS labels each time. The second time I bought a really wonderful 25x100 binocular for a mount that went on a pier I have on one of my decks. The thing works perfectly and I love it, but 2 friends afterwards tried to buy the same item because it was in the OP website as in-stock and were told they were out of stock. On the third purchase I bought a wonderful pair of European 7x50 CF binoculars at the model change, advertised at $29.95 on *b*y. I was stunned and bought a pair online immediately. It showed 12 in stock. When the *b*y listing wasn't working an hour after the first sale to me, I called OP. They said the price was listed wrong and they would honor it, but it was really a price in the thousands and my purchase 5 minutes after the *b*y description went up, caused them to rescind the offer and relist it at the correct price. Maybe their records showed that there had been a previous problem for me with a different product and that made OP lean in my direction. Or maybe They didn't want bad feedback for non-delivery, or what, but the binoculars are wonderful and I sold them to a friend and replaced them with Steiner 7x50IF which also work well. Those are the only experiences I've had with OP. But once I have returned an out-of-country item, and I have a receipt I have always been able to get a customs refund (even a year later on watches from Switzerland) by filling out a form with photocopies of the incoming customs bill and then the return shipping + acknowledgment from the foreign seller that they received the returned item. But I can't comment on how UK customs work.
