Oreoica gutturalis lloydi Mathews 1917 OD here and here

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
Crested Bellbird ssp. Oreoica gutturalis lloydi Mathews 1917 NCR [JS Oreoica gutturalis gutturalis]
Charles Griffiths Hamilton Lloyd (fl.1888–at least 1912) assisted Thomas Carter (q.v.) to make a collection of birds on Dirk Hartog Island, Shark Bay, Western Australia. He lived near New Norfolk, Tasmania, where he collected 121 species. He also discovered fossil remains in the area (1858). Lloyd acted as manager for J. Nicholas, who was the lessee of the island.

The Key to Scientific Names
Charles Griffiths Hamilton Lloyd (fl. 1888) Australian farmer on Tasmania, collector (syn. Oreoica gutturalis).

Why Thomas Carter is not at least as well author may a question for our Code SME (subject matter expert) ;)

Without knowing Charles Griffiths Hamilton Lloyd's life dates I am wondering why fl. 1888 if he discovered fossil in 1858. But maybe we get his life dates here? It looks like he might died 1931 and may married to Margaret Ellen Holden.

Mmh.
Is the dedicatee really a "Charles Griffith" ? Carter & Mathews wrote "G. C.", not "C. G."... And there are other sources where a manager of Dirk Hartog called "G. C. Lloyd" can be found, e.g. here, here, here.

Besides, how can you be the manager of a sheep station on an island in Shark Bay while living in Tasmania or Victoria ?

Here, I find traces of a "Lloyd, George Charles, of Dirk Hartog Island".

Here, I find traces of a "Lloyd, George Charles, of Dirk Hartog Island".
George Charles Lloyd, of Dirk Hartog Island, married Gladys Bethia Wedge Bates on 17 May 1920 here.
(They honeymooned in Singapore and Java, before "returning to their station, Dirk Hartog Island, Shark's Bay", in July, here.)

Here, about Dirk Hartog Island station, Mr. Frank Lloyd is cited as a "brother of the manager, Mr. Geo. Lloyd."

George Charles Lloyd (1877-1962) on FamilySearch.
George Charles Lloyd (1877-1962) on Geni.
