Does anyone know what all the white stuff is on the right of the nest, EJ is in front of the camera so can't see if all chicks are safe.

Relief, I can see all three chicks now. Did you see what looked like a sparrowhawk feather I was worried in case one of the chicks had been taken.

Had a look at blog comments which are very up to date - no mention of any food since early morning so hopefully he is out fishing. Have been watching out for him, as feeding times are so good to see.

Lunchtime feed just delivered - what a noise from EJ and the chicks - they must have been hungry. All 3 scrabbling out of the centre of the nest to get closer to the fish.

Some major nest reorganisation going on - twigs on top of chicks, lumps of bark arriving - really funny to watch. Big one heading for edge of nest - he'll be in trouble when EJ gets back.

17.10 today, 6th June

Here is a photo of the screen - it shows Mum and the three chicks.
All seems relatively peaceful, with Mum doing a little tittivating around the nest.

Hi Everybody,

I just looked at the nest after June and EJ was really into the housekeeping mode, swinging the sticks around. A fish was delivered while I was setting up for saving a photo and missed it but 2 chicks are getting fed the third is tucked under (sat upon by) the second.

They have a lot of growing to do before they will be Bart's size.

Good news from the blog - OVS delivering 5 fish a day both Thursday and Friday. Once even at 4.50 in the morning - those food calls of EJ's are obviously getting to him too!

OVS arrived around 2ish with what the rest of the family thought was a nice big fish, only to discover it was a large piece of bark which he proceeded to add to the nest "wall". What a noise they all made, protesting! He must have got the message because they are now happily tucking into fish (3.30ish).

He tries his best!!

Yes - I saw that too, but he soon got the message. Though when it arrived they were all so desperate that EJ fed the chicks the first half at what looked to be almost the edge of the nest - very nerve-wracking from the camera angle anyway. But all flat out now recovering from the feed, while EJ does yet more rearranging of the furniture - one very large branch I hope she's careful with!

Anybody else find this heart-stopping - 3 chicks at edge of the nest in high winds eating a lunch that is still flapping about! 3rd fish of the day already I think.
3.10pm 'seconds' from that big fish now being enjoyed by smallest chick - other 2 seem totally uninterested. OVS really doing a great job feeding the family.

I have to leave the room when they are feeding or reduce the size of screen, they get so close to the edge. EJ keeps backing back a bit because they are crowding her when she does they move close again, I do hope none of them fall off the nest.

New update on the blog - OVS getting rave reviews for defending the nest and bringing in fish. 24 hours away from my desk and the chicks have visibly grown!
