I'm no expert but from what I've seen the wee one looks ok. She's actually just flattened it again as she was trying to find some room on the nest. the wee one is maybe feeling the cold as there has been a bitter change in the temperature since late afternoon here in Edinburgh and I think it just wants in beside her to get some heat. The wind is very chilly.

Evening meal just delivered. Wee one at front looking for food - all looks pretty normal to me now. They are heading off the nest to the right this time but think it's getting a fair share.

The chicks all seemed to lose interest in eating and headed back in a huddle to the centre - wee one at bottom of the pile with head hidden, so maybe they are cold as Ann said. Then EJ settled down on top once she had finished dinner.

It has been well documented in the past, how OVS seemed to struggle as a Father but all this has changed this year. Not only is he delivering a plentiful supply of fish to the three youngsters, yesterday,he spent a large part of the day, chasing off a "rogue" gang of Ospreys, from the eyrie area,to protect EJ and their young. For more details, please read the Wardens Blog.

Has anyone getting any sound with the video, I haven't had any for days.

No - same here. Did it happen same time as lens went perhaps - maybe the chick has very good aim? Big fish delivered about 10 seconds ago - EJ grabbed it off OVS and all tucking in!

Just tuned in and three chicks on nest with no parent. Then in flew EJ with a big fish! They are all tucking in now. Is that the first one she's caught since they hatched, does anyone know?

I just tuned in about same time and was pleased to see wee one getting lots of mouthfuls. Then one of the bigger ones started attacking the others and has gone back to the little chick several times to keep pecking and holding it by the neck. It is terrible to watch and went on for ages - EJ just kept eating her lunch. Little chick now in a huddle in the centre but I am worried if this continues it will not survive.

I don't think the little one will survive with beatings like that, unless he is keeping his head down until the other two have finished.

Oh! he is going to feed again.

Its a shame they can't do the ringing now and remove the little one and hand rear. The 2nd one is big enough to look after itself but not the little one it must be getting very weak.

Two new blogs for us to read today. Staff seem unconcerned by the bullying but that blog was written just before the really long attack. Sounds as if the chicks have not responded well to mum 'going out to work''!

The big one has done it again. Beak and talons this time. Poor little thing.

Once agression starts it just goes on and on. Mum never interferes in chick fights even when they are killing one another.

There was the amazing saga of Flag at the DPOF nest in 2006. Flag survived in spite of taking the most awful beatings and going to bed hungry on many occasions.

A small fish was brought in at around 21:39 and the oldest was the only one which got a look in, the younger two didn't get anything but a beating from the older one. I guess it's survival of the fittest and will only stop when enough food comes in and the younger two allow the eldest to eat as much as it wants before they even try for any.
