Owen's Wildlife 2024 (1 Viewer)

Back to british birding over the last few weeks, managed to reach my UK target of 220 with a slav grebe and Velvet Scoter and today added an American Wigeon at Kenfig. A very welcome glamorgan tick. The bird was quite distant and the light quite gloomy so it took a while for us to totally nail the ID amongst a lot of Wigeon of various ages and the photos really were poor. I've kind of lost track of numbers on this thread but Bubo says it's the 489th world species for me this year, no idea which ones didn't get listed here.

500 will take a real effort especially as I've seen quite a lot of uk winter species in Estonia already but there are a few more possibles before January especially if i can get out to the east coast over christmas.
