and don't forget the stork family in Spain starting out with 3 hatchlings and ending up with possibly only one - they went off the air so we may never know. Or the Tawny owl family in Germany - started with 5 owlets with all but one dying possibly by eating poisoned critters -- at least one did fledge and she was gorgeous.\

This has been my first adventure into following bird families via webcams. Lots of heartache but oh so many joyful moments, too. Like watching the hatching and jumps of mallard ducklings; or the marvelous growth and development of falcons, hawks, and other kestrels. Or Robins, Titmouse, Wrens, Barn Swallows, and so many more.

I really appreciate all the people involved who have kept these cameras going both live and by tapings. It's been quite an education, especially for an invalid like me.

Now I hope our subject owlet will be okay and can rejoin his family.

Our two owlets are screetching for dinner, has anyone seen a drop prior to this time tonight? ( 20ish locally ) Thank you.

Number 2 is doing all the work calling, and FatGirl just went through the door. Oh boy.

Food! Number 1 got it Number 2 has joined her on the ledge, watching as she tries to
swallow the delectable treat!

There they both are, on the ledge. Food drop at 9:30. # 1 dispatched it with no trouble.

Let's just hope both of the little waddle butts stay safe out on their perch, as they don't seem to want to stay inside any longer when food is a possibility!

Does anyone else think it is precious when the parent face appears in the doorway, a rodent dangling inside the door? So cute, then pandemonium as the two girls try to beat each other out.....I honestly don't know if 1 or 2 got it & while I'm here a food fight ensued and I'm not sure if the winner kept her prize or not....anyone?

Ok, two rodents, maybe each girl got one? I was here and missed the second drop, but I heard it, thought they were fighting over the original drop. Boy, blink and we miss all the action, eh?

Looks like 2 more drops and glutton girl got both? Can anyone confirm that? The one in front, by the door, is stomping around in distress, I saw the parent leave, bukt missed the actual drop itself.

Another food drop. The one on the ledge got it, probably our favourite *1 girl, Fatso herself. The food is coming in rather well, eventually she will get full and let her sister have some. Unless this was the sister, I can't tell these two apart very well.

Another food drop. Ditto above! The rascal was sitting blocking the door so her sibling couldn't get out. Mom and dad make the quickest drops I've ever seen, they are in and out so quickly they are almost a blur.
