Well what a racket one of the wallies seems to be playing the drums on the roof.

Edit nope its attacking the black box on the corner of the roof, I assume thats what holds inside camera and Mic. Must be a good beak sharpener standing on top of it now pecking at box.

haha tom. I had the outside camera on and thats exactly what it was doing. It ate a mouse too. I think chick 1 has gone. Chick 2 won't be far behind.

I think I saw an owlet arrive back on the ledge with a mouse in its beak. It went into the box and I believe it stashed it in there, then left. (Took me a few secs to switch over to the nestcam. I usually have them both on at once but actually didn't expect to see anything, both box and ledge were empty for about the first 30 min I had the cam up, I think.) I don't think it had time to eat it in the time it took me to get the nestcam up. The owlet then jumped out of the box and flew off...

Oh, and when I tuned into the brucies' webcam, I could just see mostly the legs of one owlet, but I heard human voices so perhaps the banding is going on?? The legs I saw did not have bands on yet. I believe they were having a "banding party" today.

i think they have their rings on? They.re so quiet. Maybe in shock and i suppose its because they don.t do daytimes lol. at the WALLIES i also seen a chick land with a mouse and it ate it really quickly!! The other chick appeared briefly and it was nice to see 2 together again.

Now I see a brucies owlet with a band, walking stiff-legged and then pecking at it. I hope it doesn't break its own leg trying to get it off!

Food delivery to a brucie. Looks like a very large mouse or a small rat. After a few seconds the owlet put it on the ground and was posing with one foot on the body, like a big game hunter.

hello marjorie. Thanks for the updates. The bruce's are so endearing. Maybe its because they don.t have the room but can you remember the wallies a few weeks ago. The way they'd run about their box screaming and hissing their heads off. The bruces are so different. Very quiet compared to the thugs. Its lovely to see 5 new chicks come into our world.

The Wallies look like statues, don't they? lol

One of the Brucies is doing some major rearranging - - have you seen it? He's scratching and digging up a storm in there!

No i missed it. I watched them today making their big heads turn upside down lol. I still think they are very different to their british cousins.

Well guess both wallies are now fully fledged Owls as thats 2 nights no one at box when I have looked in. Have enjoyed the owls as well however I find it interesting the differecne in appearance between the 2 sides of the pond must be the bigger prey over there. Not sure how long they will stand being crammed in that space as they grow! Do I feel another virtual bet but no cannot get addicted t virtual gambling as well eh Nick!
