Pachycephala pectoralis neuhausi Stresemann , 1934 OD here
Eine sehr verschiedene Rasse bewohnt die kleine Insel Sinabiet, die ich dem Missionar des Lihir-Archipels P. Neuhaus widme.

The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
Black-tailed Whistler ssp. Pachycephala pectoralis neuhausi Stresemann, 1934 NCR [JS Pachycephala melanura dahli]
Father Karl Neuhaus (<1885 -1942) was a German priest in charge of the Sacred Heart Mission at Namatanai, New Ireland (1911- 1929). He was the first resident priest on the island of Lihir (1931), where the whistler holotype was taken. He 'disapeard in mid-1942 and his fate remains uncertain: he war probably executed by the occupying Jaüanese forces. His ethnography Beiträge zur Ethnographie der Pala, Mittel Neu Irland was published posthumously (1962).

The Key to Scientific Names
Fr. Karl Neuhaus (d. 1942, probably murdered by Japanese troops) German missionary to Rabaul, New Ireland 1931-1942, linguist, ethnologist (syn. Pachycephala melanura dahli).
