Panama - Boquete: Short-tailed Hawk? (1 Viewer)

Dear users,

I took these pictures of a hawk on 29th August 2018 in Boquete (Panama).

Am I right that it is the dark morph of the Short-tailed Hawk?

Thanks in advance!
Mario

From what I can see I would call it Short-tailed Hawk over Zone-tailed, which is the only other really similar species. As well I should Zone-tailed would be much less expected up in the mountains in Boquete.
