Before attaching the eyepiece the camera needs to be started and zoomed to at least 1/3 zoom so the front element pulls back. Likewise, before restarting, the eyepiece must be removed to keep the front element from snubbing into the eye-lens, causing a fault. </p><p></p><p>Other scopes used with this camera/eyepiece combination include a 10 inch dia. Newtonian Dob. and a microscope stand using a fine quality Lomo Apo Plan 4x objective. </p><p></p><p>Please see the attached image of a fawn, shot at 43 yards with the 17mm Hyperion. This image is a bit less than 50% frame. 1,300mm equiv.
