Hi, I would like to ask you, if you think it is possible to determine the species of a parrot from this horrible photo. The picture was taken on Playa de la Pinta, Costa Adeje, Tenerife, 3 days ago. Thanks a lot.

Black/dark face, flight feathers and undertail points strongly at Nanday vs Rose-ringed. On structure and color they are certainly not Monk.
 
Def not rose-ringed and also not monk! Tail of a rose-ringed could be broken and therefore shorter than normal but it is not contrastingly dark as seen in these images and as already written. Compare:

Nanday sounds like a good shout.
