Hi all,
A flock of 40+ Meadow Pipits were reported perched in trees on my local patch recently by an observer who also got some shots (below). They don't give me the impression of being pipits (especially the 2nd shot), so would appreciate others' thoughts on the pics please.
Kind regards,

Given they tend to knock about together at this time of year, and the quality of the photos I think all we can say is they are either redwings or fieldfares, possibly both!

That is unless someone has the time and some fancy photo enhancement software ......
