Passerines (North Vietnam) (1 Viewer)

I found a few more birds I'd love to have ID'd in my photos from my April 2017 Vietnam trip.

1 & 2 - This individual was with a flock of Black-crested Bulbuls. I thought it was one of them but upon closer inspection it looks rather different
3 - Not sure what this could be and I can understand if it's impossible to ID
4 - Same as above with this one.

Many thanks :)

Thanks for your help, those suggestions seem good to me.

I've looked at possible tits for 3 but yuhina seems to match it more.

I would agree that no.3 is almost certainly a Yuhina, perhaps Stripe-throated as the crown is very peaked, although there's no sign of the orange tertial bar. It's not identifiable at species level in my opinion.

I agree with Andy that no.4 loks like a Common Tailorbird. The tail shape seems to fit, the long central shaft being hidden by leaves.

I'm a bit stumped by nos. 1 & 2. A Bulbul species is the closest I can get, but the tail looks a little short. It looks a little round-headed for Flavescent and too small and compact for Stripe-throated. I don't know whether to trust the splash of yellow on the breast either.

Thank you Andy for your input. Glad to have a confirmation on the common tailorbird, and yuhina sp.

I’m rather perplexed by the bird in pics 1 & 2.
