Just had a winter sun break here with some leisurely birding. Saw the Franklin’s gull at the nearby salt pans on four occasions always on the same pool, still there on the 4th March.
Quite a few Blackcap,Chiffchaff and a scattering of Bluethroat. Had a brief view of what looked like a male Hen harrier on the marsh , 1 dark phase and 1 pale phase Booted Eagle.
A female Sub alpine warbler was in trees behind the Beach cafe near the railway line on the 3rd.
A very nice birdy place which I think I will probably return too.
