Machined aluminum would be nice. The knob on my Vortex/Stokes DLS is made like that, and does add both a look and feel of quality to the binoculars. I don't normally squeeze the focus knob, though, and to be fair, I thought the knob on the Swarovski ELs I looked at again a few weeks ago felt both cheap, and as if it was about to fall off. 'Course it worked fine, just like the Pentax's.</blockquote>
