I would agree the Pentax ED and Ultravid HD are not in the same class as the Meostar if the determining measure is FOV.I do not have access to the Meopta Meostar (and a lot of other glass). None of the sites I looked at mentioned ED glass for the Meostar. If you have access to the Pentax ED (in the field) a comparison of the  Meostar in regards to image would be greatly appreciated.  Without  actually using the Meostar in the field for a day with lots of lighting conditions  and comparing it side by side to the bins I have (Pentax ED & Ultravid HD and whatever shows up on the birding walks) – my blather would provide no value.Good Birding!</blockquote>
