Pentax PF65 ED vs. Kowa TSN 66ED (1 Viewer)

Hello,
I'm looking for a good telescope, small and handy, without being a mini 50mm type, and not a super alpha Swaro type.
Has anyone been able to use or compare these two spotting scopes?
I have read good things about both, the lens size is very similar, ED lenses, but the big difference is that the Pentax accepts 1.25" eyepieces and the Kowa does not.. ummm!
Thank you
GPoly.

I bought the Pentax 65mm because it used the 1.25" eyepieces that are standard for telescopes and so many more options and resellers available. The Pentax scope's focal length is 390mm. So simply divide the eyepieces focal length into 390 to get the power or image magnification.

The least expensive good eyepiece is the Celestron 8-24mm that sells for US $99. You may be able to find a used eyepiece on eBay but they are risky.

might want to consider a celestron regal thats in the same price range as the pentax and buy a baader hyperion zoom to use instead of the celestron eyepiece that comes with it . Has a good ed objective and a fine focusing knob that the pentax doesnt have . The 65mm is a little longer than the pentax and also accepts any 1.25” ep’s
