The Eponym Dictionary of Birds claims:
Great Cormorant ssp. Phalacrocorax carbo patricki J. G. Williams, 1966 NCR [Alt. White-breasted Cormorant; JS Phalacrocorax lucidus] Patrick Curry (DNF) was the son of a friend of the describer. The describer says that '... whilst visiting the Queen Elizabeth National Park, Western Uganda, with Mrs Peter Curry, her son Mr Patrick Curry and Mr Bill Ryan, Patrick noticed some unusual-looking cormorants among some typical-looking White-breasted Cormorants'. (They now seem to be regarded just as a colour morph.)
