Memories in your mind are as good as a pic, Val! Nice bird aren't they!

It is a contortionist, Mannix! A good pic!

Ok I have widened the shot a bit to show a teeny bit of her mate. This bird is in the RSPB handbook and I have seen ten of them in one place this very evening.

Yeah Red Crested Pochard it is. I knew you would get it with that tiny extra bit of info. They are breeding on my local waters and as I said I saw 10 of them yesterday. Here is the full pic......

I'm feel a bit cheated about guessing correctly. I live down south where 'they are supposed to be' and have never seen one. You live 'oop north' which I thought was out of their range, and you see ten at once! :-O

Well, I did say Pochard at the bottom of the last page, but I guess as I didn't say Red Crested, it don't count.|:(|
Well done Cheersm8.

Well done Cheersm8.

Sorry for being so strict with that one Val, but it is an entirely different bird and a clue like "what kind of Pochard?" would have made it too easy. :t:

Well, heres my quizzy contribution to the thread. Shouldn't be to difficult for the ducky people.

All FOUR bird species though.
