happy 2020!
I saw today this Phylloscopus and it seems diferente from Phylloscopus collybita that im used to see here. Its seems more clear with few green and white underparts. Can it be a ssp? like tristes or abietinus? thanks in advance.

An interesting “play on light” Marcio, in direct sunlight an extremely pallid individual, in shadow a seemingly “different” bird!

To be honest I’d be surprised if anyone attempted to pin a race of Chiffchaff on this bird, as I believe at most, it would be speculative imo.

It doesn’t appear to comply with “goal post moving” tristis, in as much it’s legs are not black and it’s bill is not small, which according to current (I believe) opinion are two requirement features.

An interesting variation on a theme individual though.
