Pied Billed Grebes? Monterey, CA 16 June 2024 (1 Viewer)

These birds were in the background of a picture I took of something else (Violet Green Swallow) so they're out of focus. Are these juvenile Pied Billed Grebes? One looks bigger than the others, and the orange splotch on the bill/cheek doesn't look good for a Pied Billed Grebe. But it does look good for a juvenile. I guess it's the size difference that's throwing me off.

Location is a small lake. Photo taken today and heavily cropped.
