I put the trips I was planning on the Florida board. There was three Audubon Societies in the area that ran Saturday walks (St Pete’s, Clearwater and Tampa). I only used these opportunities of walks on the very first day. I was staying with my Father and he kindly agreed to be my transport for the week. Public transport seemed to be quite low in activity though and so think I may have struggled getting around, if he had not offered to be my driver. Most sites were free, when not, I will give entrance fees. I have a tendency to shorten names, but hope they become obvious. I have used the proper names too. Examples are Little Blue Heron becoming Little Blue (a bit obvious really), and Turkey Vulture becoming TV (picked that up in SF last year). Sometimes the American Crows and American Coots, are just referred to as Crows and Coots. Do not take it as I was seeing Carrion Crows or Eurasian Coots. I arrived on Day 0 in the evening, so Day 1 is start of the birdwatching. Sites visited on that day are giving in the subtitle.I am an opportunistic birder, so if I come across something then “great”, if not, then “ah well”. Also, to pre warn, I will be talking about other things in the report that were memorable and what I seen will not be exhaustive, as I am typically not a list taker. I did set a goal of 60 species to photograph, simply to take me above the 400 mark. They did not need to be good pictures, they are typically just for me. All shots were using a Canon 7D MKII with 400mm 5.6L.Paraphrasing Leslie Neilsen, I do not look to take good pictures to feel bad, I look to take bad pictures but feel good.</blockquote>
