One photo from Day 8 and Reflection It is funny how doing the report made me realise that Florida was indeed active with birds. In saying that, it never seemed like that at the time. I think the reason was with the high number of solitary birds, and lack or large flocks (disregarding shore birds), it did make the place seem emptier. Obviously activity is due to increase in the coming weeks. There was a fair variety though, and there are obvious sites I would not go back to if I returned, whilst others I would request more help for beforehand. You really need to have a car to get around, as I doubt it could be done easily on public transport. I never reached my goal of 60 new species photographed, but that was just a bit of fun. I did miss out on Painted Bunting and Roseate Spoonbill as two I would have liked to have seen. Swamp Sparrow would also have been a nice edition. I also found that Ebird is not the best way to plan trips but with lack of trip reports, one does what one can. Anyway, Thank you for reading. I hope it was entertaining and could be useful. Next trip is my usual spring trip to Portugal, and plan to write a trip report this time. As promised, the link to the full photographs.
