Please help with chiffchaff subspecies (Switzerland) (1 Viewer)

Dear all,

I saw this chiffchaff today in C. Ticino, Switzerland, and I wonder if someone could help me identify the subspecies.

It was strikingly grayer than the other chiffchaffs present at the same site (the familiar olive-yellow ssp. collybita). It also showed no yellow or green, except on the wing. My guess is ssp. abietinus, but I don't have much experience with this or other subspecies --do you agree?

I did not hear it call or sing.

Thank you in advance,

FL

Hello,
imo its a good candidat for a Siberian Chiffchaff, but:

I hope for other to jump in and confirm, as I lack experience here.
I dont see any yellow hues (in the supercilium and elsewhere), and I think the picture quality is good enough to judge this with confidence (???)
