Hi guys, don’t know where to post this but here goes, it’s some kind of scat but I don’t know from what, it’s bout 1 inch long that tapers, it’s half-inch round & was on my bird table this morning. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated, it’s doing my head in. My guess is it’s hedgehog scat & it stuck to a pigeon/dove/magpies foot & transfered from floor to table?. Anyway, your go!!

I don't recognise it mate, that's why in my case: the other possibility for others is that they agree with you. You've had no contradiction anyway, and they normally aren't slow with that on here.

If the white stuff is part of it (urea?) I would say it’s more likely to be from a bird. It doesn’t look quite right for hedgehog poo to me, also finding it on the table is a bit of a stretch. Don’t know how cold it’s been where you are but there’s not been much hog activity here yet (though I did see a road casualty last week).

If it is a bird, it’s a big old poo!
