Its about a 20 min walk to one through the town, basically head right along the main street and then head up left. Im sure the taxi is the better option, if they dont know just point to the hill. The views at the top of the hill are superb and you can see a nice valley ridge between there and some more distant bigger mountains.  On the boat itself the helicopter top deck is where you watch from which is just below the company of whales area. It is stable enough to use a scope and most birders did this. The view from here is good all around just skip to the other side when neccessary, there are no obstructions in the way. If it gets too choppy or windy I suggest you go down one deck from the helicopter deck and sit on the seats at the sheltered side of the boat.  The food on the ferry is reasonably pricy. There is a nice restaurant which also does nice breakfasts and a cheaper option of a smaller restaurant which does food like paninis and pizza and many coffee varieties which are perfect for a snack.  Im sure in early sept you will see many seabirds.</blockquote>
