[QUOTE="aythya_hybrid, post: 1575740, member: 33731"] Returned from the most recent trip yesterday, and, indeed, the killer whiles were truly sensational, the undoubted cetacean highlight. Made up for the poor showing from the fin whales (all we had was a series of distant blows from a presumed fin whale). However, we did see a few pilot whales and BN dolpins, and numerous common dolphins and several striped dolphins. Birdwise, things were excellent. My totals are as follows (with totals including those not seen by me in brackets). Sooty Shearwater 8 (total about 15) Balearic Shearwater 1 (4) Little Shearwater 2 (4): my first one was quite far north, above the continental shelf Cory's 141, including a raft of 50+ Great Shear 25 Manx 7 Sabine's Gull 4 (13 - a flock of 7 were seen whilst I was in bed) LT Skua 1 (2) Storm Petrel 74 Other people saw a few Grey Phals, but I never connected. The hill above Santurtzi was petty good too. Poor weather scuppered any raptors. Several people (alas not including me) had an Orphean Warbler, as well as a RR Swallow. Birds I did manage to see included a [presumed Western] Olivaceous Warbler, 2 Zitting Cisticola, RB Shrike, c10 Melodious, a Wryneck, several Firecrests, 1+ Savi's Warbler, 3 Sardinian Warbler, Tree Pipits, Pied Flys, Redstarts.
