My guess would be some sort of ransomware attack

I hope that’s all it is. As a ransomware attack is bad enough. I’m not a member of the Woodland Trust, as you can’t be a member of every conservation organisation and I am a member of quite a number of local conservation wildlife charities as well as national, including my county wildlife trust as a member. Hopefully everything is ok!
