So many new species in one place; these sites must be really good for birding! I have an average of around 3.5 lifers per location only.

(EDIT: Oh, OK, it's just this year, but my comment still stands, except it's 4 per location.)

A good amount of these species are pretty much seeable just by walking down any street- I just report either in areas where I had lifers or areas in which I saw a large amount of birds. That’s why I have whooper seen at cley marshes even though I had previously seen around 200 in a field in Cambridge.

Currently this year I have had 7 lifers (4 of them being on the same day and the other 3 being from one weekend trip in Norfolk)-

Ring necked duck
Greater Scaup
Cackling goose
Long-eared owl
Scoter
Pallas’s leaf warbler
Siberian Chiffchaff

Sadly apart from rarities, lifers are extremely hard come by since I’ve seen the majority of English birds- however I am missing a few that I hope I’ll be able to get this year; Siskin, Hawfinch, Crossbill, Red grouse, Wood warbler, Velvet scoter (may of had one but didn’t manage to confirm it), Little owl, Lesser spotted woodpecker, Goshawk. These are the ones I hope to get naturally through travelling England.
