So I decided to call in at Hilbre Island on my way home. Although it was high tide, it was 7.7m, so low that you could still walk out. When I got there I had a chat to one of the ringers at the bird observatory. They haven't caught a single warbler today or yesterday, not even a Willow Warbler, and they have had just one Wheatear. I suppose that something will filter across eventually....</blockquote>
