Hi all,
I'm curious to know if anyone out there has had a similar problem to me with the locking mechanism on the EL's strap becoming unlocked and the strap detaching from the body during use?
The locking button mechanism feels very secure and is correctly set up (e.g. the button is locked and the wheel freely rotates as it should to allow the strap to move). However, I've now had the button pop out 3 times. You cannot just pull the button out and the mechanism appears to be sound (e.g. you have to press it in to remove it).
I always wear my binoculars slung across my body so that the bins rest on my hip (never wear them around my neck for comfort reasons). The button that is coming undone is the one that would be against my body, and I can only assume that it is being depressed occasionally whilst carrying the bins. I don't feel like I can be unique in having this issue... but maybe I am!
Thanks for any info you can provide
Dave
