Much like the Pentax PF-65ED, the ideal is the XW 14mm for top of the line.  For lower budget, the Baader Hyperion or similar wide angle 13mm are good.  Either of these will achieve just about 30x.For stationary as a bird feeder, I'd shoot for much larger eyepiece, maybe 20mm, to result in smaller magnification. How far is the feeder from the scope location? In any event, the Hyperion or XW (or even XL) are great. BTW, is water proof an issue?Matt</blockquote>
