You may well be right in your opinion about the coating.  It just may well the final green coating is both cheaper and nearly enough to the same performance that the production cost won.  Call me weird, but I liked the Black and Brass look.My Swift Nighthawk is a single MgF AR coating and it is indeed blue in color.  Seems a deeper blue than what I remember from the Promaster, almost purple.I also posted a recomendation on the "need new binocular" thread at the fring line for the Promaster., maybe one or two posts after the one you quoted.  I have the SteveC99 ID both there and at the 24Hr Campfire, as well as the Alaska Outdoor Forum, where I also posted a small pitch for the Promaster.  That went nowhere.  There is really more stuff on the Promaster at the 24 HR Campfire than anywhere else, although BF is pretty close.The only place on my review sample that could have had any sort of brand labelling was the end of the focus knob.  Won't have my gray Promaster untill after I order it Tuesday. I'll order next or maybe 2nd day air UPS.  I need to have it when I leave Friday.</blockquote>
