When I lived in the UK I used to keep a list or two, a habit which has been in intensive care in my last 5 years or so in Spain. Don't ask me what my life list is now, because I really don't know, and please don't say I'm not a birder if I don't keep a list!|:$|I know quite a few good birders in Spain who write very little down, let alone send in any observations.
