Please does anyone know in what way the African Green Bee-eater (Merops viridissimus) differs from Asian Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis)
Best wishes and thanks

Looks like Asian is "russet-crowned"; some races at least of African have green not blue throats if I read it correctly. There's other stuff with tail feather lengths etc

Thank you so much. Please do you know whether the crown of the African is different? Photos online seem to show a fully green crown but I can't tell for a certainty.

Yes although the bow description is a bit odd; it seems to suggest upperparts can be bronzy. Pics suggest bright green
