Raising mealworms. (1 Viewer)

I bought a punnet of mealworms, and put them in a tray setup to propagate them. They eventually turned into beetles and apparently the next stage will be when they mate and lay eggs. Only trouble is, I have no idea at what point this actually happens, and I can't see any signs of it when I look in the tray. It's just a bunch of beetles crawling around. My question is: how will I know when the females have started to breed and lay their eggs? And I believe that I'm supposed to remove the beetles from the tray as soon as the females lay eggs, otherwise they'll eat them?? Is that correct?
