Please help me to identify this raptor taken from Western Ghats, Kerala, India during last week....location: Dense Rain Forest, photo captured by my friend and sought my help to identify this bird...I doubt it is Besra (Accipiter virgatus)

Seems to have a mesial stripe (black line on the throat) so should be a Shikra.

Tails bars are too narrow for Besra on the first bird.

They don't look like the same bird to me? The second seems to have a different tail or maybe the posture but it's on a different branch too?

Thanks Andya...I agree with you on both..as the second picture is of another raptor(my friend who took this picture just confirmed the same, though he send both pictures together, sorry for the wrong information), however, Is the second picture good enough to identify, if so, would be very interested to know the id of the second one....
