Can anyone I d this bird, could it be a peregrine falcon?
Pic taken this week taken on a river near the coast of puerto Vallarta
It was a bit shy so no head. I think it may of had a lizard!

Tricky angle, the flight shot looks a bit like Ornate hawk-eagle to me, but I'd await confirmation.

I see what you mean but isn't the pattern of upper tail bars wrong for that species? I don't know what it is : I wondered about immature / juv grey hawk but decided that (e. g.) the upper side mantle colouration in the second photo was wrong.
