Ravenous, bully, brown-headed cowbirds - Maryland, USA (1 Viewer)

I've been having a problem with dozens of brown-headed cowbirds raiding my tray feeder and keeping other birds away. I've switched to strictly safflower seeds because I read that cowbirds don't like them. I started this on Saturday, April 24th. I'm noticing a lot less of these bully birds, but they're still coming to the feeder. Anyone else have any luck with safflower seeds to deter them or any other suggestions? I don't want to spend a lot of money buying other types of feeders. Thanks for any input.
