Moorlands Macro: Close up and personal....with bug
A bit off topic from birds, but I am getting into landscape photography and just wanted to know if anyone here also dies it. I need a fast lens, f/2.8 to go with my Nikon D810. Doesn't have to be a Nikkor lens, I will consider a third party. Thanks. Neil.

Nikkor 14-24mm, a lens I own that is exceptionally versatile and optically excellent for a zoom lens. Very sharp throughout the range.

Main downsides:

If you use filters, requires expensive third party filter holders

Prone to strong flare due to very large front element - you often have to put your hand up to shield the lens from flare.

If you prefer a fixed focal length lens I would strongly consider any of the Sigma Art series lenses, 20, 24 or 35mm. I haven't used Sigma lenses but the majority of reviews hold the Art series in high esteem.

If money is no object and you don't require AF, Zeiss
