I realise that everyone has their preference but if travelling to the Gambia I would strongly recommend sorting your guide and the price before you go.

I have just returned from a week using Dawda and can highly recommend him, he is a quiet and unassuming expert, attentive and most importantly good company.

I traveled upriver with him this visit, he is well connected and can get things sorted in the Gambian way anyone who has done the Banjul Ferry crossing will be impressed to hear we were on the ferry within half an hour, enough said....

His knowledge of sites and the birds is good, but not arrogant and if he is not 100% sure he will consult with you to mutually agree, fleeting views of some raptors for instance.

If anyone would like more details please frre to contact me, or better still contact Dawda directly.
