red naped sapsucker, Lassen, California (1 Viewer)

I can not decide if this sapsucker is a purebred or a hybrid with a red breasted sapsucker. I believe it is a hybrid although it almost looks like a pure red naped sapsucker. There seems to be a little to much red on the breast and there also seems to be some red in the malar patch. This was my first experience with a red naped sapsucker so I am not sure quite what it should look like. Also, where I saw this sapsucker red naped are quite rare but hybrids show up infrequently.

Thanks in advance for the help.
